About J+D Forecasting
At J+D we work alongside Pharmaceutical Forecasters, Analysts, Business Insights Managers, Marketing Departments, Finance and Supply teams to create forecasting solutions that meet the needs of both individuals and pharmaceutical companies. Within the last couple of years, J+D has invested heavily in product development with strong support from our sales and marketing functions to reach some of the largest pharmaceutical and biotech companies in the world. The success of these initiatives has resulted in significant growth in both revenue and overall size of the business. Two years ago J+D Forecasting was acquired by Evaluate, a Norstella company, which will bring many benefits for J+D and our customers, as well as allowing us to further accelerate the growth of our forecasting capabilities.

Job description
We are looking for an Analyst to be part of our Client Implementation Team here at J+D. In this role, you will:
  • Work on a wide range of projects, be involved in supporting the wider J+D team in project management, inputting into the design of solution scoping documents, helping with the analysis of data, solution testing and report writing, as and when required. You will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our forecasting platform, FC365 and delivery of our forecasting software, FC+, including training sessions.
  • You will be expected to have good communication skills and to be organised and efficient in managing your workload, covering multiple projects at the same time. You will work to deadlines, have a good eye for detail and great interpersonal skills
  • You will work within a small team of 2-5 individuals, supporting the team throughout the delivery of these projects and liaising with the client where necessary to ensure expectations are managed and project deliverables handed over on time and to a very high standard.
  • You will personally be involved in project management and in regular client meetings. It is therefore important that you have strong customer relationship skills, are responsive and proactive, with a commitment to the delivery of the highest quality of care and service. It will also be important that you are familiar with all aspects of Microsoft, in particular Excel, and extremely comfortable reviewing, analysing and interpreting large volumes of numerical information.

In the first 12 months you will:
  • Become an integral member of the J+D team, forming strong and productive working relationships across all key departments
  • Gain an understanding of the principles of pharmaceutical forecasting, the steps to creating a forecast and the different types of forecasts
  • Positively contribute to projects through a range of activities and potentially leading small projects supported by other team members
  • Establish, develop and maintain customer relationships across the world’s top pharma companies

Responsibilities
  • Project / client management support
  • Update our internal project management system
  • Take instruction and implement changes to project materials
  • Document meeting notes and actions
  • Support with/ draft the design of solution configuration / setup and model specifications
  • Draft basic forecast models using our forecasting software
  • Quality checking / testing of forecast models and solution deployments
  • Support with day-to-day project tasks
  • Involvement in training sessions with customers
  • Responding to customer queries, both via email and on calls
  • Involvement in non-project specific activities, such as testing latest SaaS software updates, developing external forecasting training content, etc.

Qualifications
  • Degree in life sciences, scientific or data specialism (can be a soon to be graduate)
  • Project management experience (ideal but not essential)
  • Proactive and able to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Analyst experience (ideal but not essential)
  • Pharmaceutical industry knowledge (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with clients
